The Regulation for Prevention Collision at Sea has been published in the Official Gazette

With the Official Gazette dated 12.03.2024 and numbered 32487, The Rules for Prevention Collision at Sea' has been revoked and replaced by The Regulation for Prevention Collision at Sea prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The regulation that has entered into force sets out rules that all vessels within the Turkish maritime jurisdiction and associated areas, regardless of flag, must adhere to, aiming to prevent collisions at sea with this comprehensive approach.
With this regulation, vessels within this scope are subject to the rules stipulated in the COLREG 72 Convention, which can be accessed from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs website. Vessels are obligated to keep both The Regulation and an up-to-date version of the COLREG 72 Convention. Violators of the legislation will be subject to procedures within the relevant legislation.
